On some order number entry screens, users will be presented with a magnifying glass next to order number prompt as shown below. Click this will invoke the wizard as described below.
Overview
This document describes the Order Number Wizard. This tool allows users to search for an Order Number to apply to their TMC and PO Invoices, as well as all T and M Authorization Forms.
This feature consists of the Order Number Wizard itself. Order Number entry will be the same as before, but if user needs help identifying the correct order number to use, then they can invoke a wizard to search for order numbers that meet their basic search criteria for attributes including Transmission/Distribution, Program Type, Division, and even a text search on order# description.
Usage
The Order Number Wizard is accessible wherever an order number can be entered. The wizard is accessed by clicking the search button (magnifying glass) next to the order number field.
When the order# wizard is called, any fields that have already been filled in on the main order # entry screen will be pre-filled on the wizard for you. This includes Dist/Trans, Division, and/or Program type. When the wizard is called during Edit mode on a previously saved form, or if the user chooses to Edit an invoice header, the applicable search filters will be dimmed out (read only) since they cannot be changed once a form or invoice is saved.
The Order Number Wizard only searches against order numbers that are present in both the L_OrderProgram2 lookup and the SAPOrders table.
Using Search Filters
The search filters will restrict the order number results displayed in the result list.
Changing the Division or Program filters will automatically refresh the search results.
Using the Search Box
The Search Box on the Order Number Wizard allows the user to find order numbers that contain the entered text either in the order number itself, or the order number description.
The search will look for each token to be present in either the order number, the order number description, or both. The tokens do not need to be exclusively present in one or the other as shown below:
Searching for Specific Order Numbers
If a numeric only string is entered as a single token, then the search will prioritize looking for that specific order number, including outside of any entered filters. If a match is found the user is informed that the value is outside of the entered filters and gives them the option to proceed with that order number anyway.
NOTE: When using a “LineKill” order#, or a non-veg order#, searching for it in the wizard will not work unless you search for the entire order# by itself, in the search text box. Of course if you are using these order numbers, you already know the number and there is no reason to invoke the wizard.
